Edmonds 4th of July Parade: March for the Marsh!

Update, Tuesday, June 25th:

Getting to downtown Edmonds: With 15,000+ people attending the parade, planning ahead so you can be in line by 11:30 is critical! Traffic will be extremely congested, and even paid parking will be gone well before the start of the parade. Finding someone who can drop you off close to Edmonds Civic Park is probably the best solution. Even then, please allow plenty of time due to heavy traffic.

A limited amount of paid parking will be available at the Holy Rosary Church on 7th Avenue.

Bus options: We’re researching bus options and schedules. Check back in a few days to see if bussing to Edmonds will work for you.

The parade route: The parade route is .9 miles.
A map of the route is posted on the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce website: MAP OF STREET CLOSURES & PARADE ROUTES

Where we’ll be in the lineup: We’ve been told we won’t know our lineup location until July 2nd at the earliest and maybe not until July 3rd, but we’ll post it when we know.

We’ll update this page as plans develop. For now, we know:

THE TIME: The parade starts at 12:00 and we’ll gather at 11:30. The parade runs approximately 1.5-2 hours.

WHERE TO MEET: When we find out exactly where we are in the lineup,
we’ll post it here. If you have any trouble finding us, just look for the Orca!

TO COMMUNICATE OUR MESSAGE, WE HAVE:

An attention-grabbing, giant inflatable Orca to carry

·      50 salmon props; we need 25 people to carry these

·    “Marshian” headbands for kids to wear.

·      Marsh t-shirts: Stay tuned! When the purchase link is available, we’ll post it here.

 We need MORE participants!

Please help us to recruit by spreading the word and inviting your relatives, friends, and neighbors to join us.
