EDMONDS MARSH ESTUARY DATA BASE updated 6/20/2023
The hyperlinks below help access the large amount of data relevant to marsh restoration. To make best use of the links, following are some notes. An area of interest is listed - followed by where to look:
· Overall general knowledge - pick a document or two from each section or use a search term to find a specific reference.
· The Washington Department of Ecology cleanup - the Ecology website for UNOCAL Bulk Fuel Terminal 0178 has 124 documents.
· Other restoration projects - the RCO PRISM website has data on numerous restoration projects and has a useful search function. Searches can be by project keyword (like estuary), title, sponsor, organization, year, etc.
· The original Marsh daylighting study (done when there was to be a ferry terminal on the UNOCAL parcel) - the city websites and the RCO PRISM website are useful.
· Edmonds city planning - the PROS plan and the Waterfront Study both address the Marsh and will be referenced in the Comprehensive Plan 2024 update.
· Marsh watersheds - the Edmonds stormwater links.
Existing Marsh Studies
The City of Edmonds has Marsh reports in 4 locations, Public Works/Willow Creek Daylighting and Marsh Restoration, Public Works/Storm and Surface Water Documents, Parks and Recreation/Current Parks Projects, and City Council/Council Resources. The RCO PRISM website duplicates those reports and also includes additional information, such as funding details and project reviews.
